Community Guidelines
Effective 27 September 2026 · Last updated 7 October 2026
Jelly works because people lend strangers their good clothes. That only holds if everyone here behaves well. These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service, and they apply to everything you do on Jelly: your profile, your listings, your messages, your reviews, your Looks, your Requests, and how you treat the people on the other side of a rental.
Respect
- No harassment, threats or intimidation.
- No slurs or hateful language.
- No doxxing: do not publish anyone’s personal information, and do not try to get it out of them.
- No unsolicited sexual content or advances.
- If someone blocks you, that is the end of it. Do not create another account to reach them.
Our team
Our support team are people. Abusing them can close an account on the first offence.
- Do not name, target or post about an individual member of our team or a courier, on Jelly or anywhere else.
- Our team can end a conversation that has become abusive, and they do not have to ask first. That is not a refusal to help you: your order or your claim stays open and still gets an answer.
No discrimination
You can decline any offer for any ordinary reason. You do not owe anyone an explanation, and you never have to transact with someone who makes you uncomfortable.
What you may not do is decline a rental or a sale, cancel one, charge differently, or treat anyone differently, because of their race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law.
That includes:
- language in a listing or a profile signalling who you will or will not lend to;
- asking a renter to send a photo of herself before you accept a booking or an offer;
- using someone’s name, photo or profile to make assumptions and then declining;
- applying stricter conditions to one member than you would to another in the same situation.
We review these reports ourselves. We do not ask you to work it out with the other person.
No spam
- No advertising anything unrelated to renting or selling your own clothes.
- No fundraising, donation requests or giveaways.
- No listings created to collect money rather than to lend or sell a piece.
- No bots, no scripted accounts, no automated posting.
What you list
Every piece must be yours, authentic, accurately described, and clean. The full list of what may and may not be listed is in the Terms of Service, under “What you may list”.
Counterfeits, replicas and “dupes” are not permitted, whether or not the listing says so. A piece may be listed under a brand only if that brand made it. Where no brand made a piece, list it as Unbranded, and do not name a brand as its inspiration anywhere in the listing. Jelly checks the words in a listing when you publish it and will ask you to change any that describe a piece as a copy of a brand; if that word is genuinely part of the piece’s own name, write to us.
If we find, or are told, that a listed piece is not authentic, we may do one or more of the following, depending on what happened:
- remove the listing (a piece removed as inauthentic may not be listed again);
- ask you for proof that the piece is authentic;
- issue a formal warning;
- stop you from listing branded pieces;
- suspend your selling, renting, payouts or access to your account;
- review or remove your other listings;
- close your account permanently.
What a confirmed counterfeit means for the money on a rental or a sale is set out in the Terms of Service.
Keep it on Jelly
Arrange and pay for every rental and sale through Jelly. Jelly does not mediate or collect on an arrangement made off Jelly, and our team cannot support one.
How we enforce these Guidelines
Depending on what happened, and whether it has happened before, we may:
- remove the content or the listing;
- issue a warning;
- restrict your listing privileges;
- suspend your account;
- close your account permanently.
Serious conduct (abuse of our team, fraud, or listing counterfeits at volume) can close an account straight away, without the earlier steps. When we remove a listing or suspend an account, we tell the member what we did and why.
Reporting and blocking
To report something, tap Report on the profile, listing, message, reply from Mona, public Look, Request, reply to a Request or review you want us to look at, and choose a reason. You can also write to info@onjelly.com. Include the handle, what happened, and screenshots where you have them; they make a report much easier to act on.
A person at Jelly reads every report. Filing one does not remove anything by itself; it asks us to look.
Reports are confidential. We do not tell anyone who reported them. Filing a report you know to be false, or using reports to interfere with someone else’s closet, is itself a breach of these Guidelines.
To stop someone contacting you, block them from their profile or from your conversation. Once you block a member, neither of you can message the other. They are not told.
